Here’s what patients can expect:
1. Consultation and Exam: We will discuss your medical history, dental concerns, and smile goals. We will also obtain digital x-rays and images as well as complete a full oral exam to evaluate the state of your current oral health.
2. Create Treatment Plan: Using the information gained at the consultation and exam, the doctor will determine how many implants are needed. The treatment plan may even include bone grafts or sinus lifts. Our top priority is restoring your smile, your self-confidence, function and oral health.
3. Sedation, Surgery & A New Smile: For a single implant, sedation isn’t always necessary but we will make sure you are comfortable and the entire treatment can be done in one appointment. Some form of sedation is recommended for full-arch implants and often this means deep sedation with an anesthesiologist to keep you comfortable and safe. Our dentists will then perform the implant surgery where the implementation of surgical guides and photogrammetry along with other technology are utilized for precise accuracy and fit. We also use Platelet-Rich Fibrin to speed the healing process. Finally, we fit a provisional restoration or bridge to the implants so you can enjoy the benefits seeing a beautiful smile again.
4. Follow up Appointments: Post surgery we will follow-up at one day then one week later to check your bite and make sure healing is on track. At one month, you will meet with one of our hygienists who will instruct how to care for your full mouth implants and answer any questions as well.
5. Healing: Your mouth will heal through a process called osseointegration – the process of dental implants healing and fusing with your jawbone. It is critical to maintain a soft food diet throughout the healing process to ensure the success of your investment
6. Final Restoration: Once healed, approximately 6-8 months, your final restoration will be delivered. Your new teeth will be made of a stronger material called zirconia which is also reinforced by a titanium bar to resist breakage. At New Smiles, we only use the best materials that have been proven durable and effective. If there are any shape or shade changes that need to be made, we have an in-house lab with a full-time tech who is on hand for any adjustments. Patients leave with a permanent, brand-new smile! Eat whatever foods you want and smile wide for photos. Enjoy life once again!
7. Regular check ups: We recommend to still have regular checkups at least twice per year after the first year.

At New Smiles, we evaluate your bone and roots. We evaluate your overall health, including our scans and your medical history. We study and evaluate every situation. Depending on what we find, we often choose one of these three paths:
✔ Restorative Cosmetics only: when the best situation means keeping the tooth in place and doing quality cosmetic work.
✔ Mix of Cosmetics and Implants: when it’s best to do a mix of implants plus crowns and/or veneers.
✔ Full-Arch Implants: when the best, healthiest route is a full-arch implant plan.
