Dr. Aanderud has advanced training in implant and general dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also an honors graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry and a U.S. Army veteran. Fluent in Spanish, he is known for delivering advanced, patient-centered care.
Dr. Aanderud is a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral Implantology (ABOI) and a Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, the Washington County Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Aanderud has received the prestigious “Oregon’s Top Dentists” award several years in a row for his exceptional skill and care in dentistry. He and Dr. Doyel are IV Sedation certified and are board certified Implant Specialists.
Dr. Aanderud joined New Smiles Dental in June of 2001, after completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program with the U.S. Army and serving as a Captain in Kuwait. His dedication to continuing education and patient care is evident in every aspect of his work. Dr. Aanderud is passionate about dentistry and strives to provide his patients with a caring, comfortable, and expertly delivered experience.
Dr. Aanderud grew up in the Portland Metro area. He is the past President of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce and continues to serve as an active member of the Board. He is deeply involved in his community and church, and his commitment to these areas is one of the reasons he and his wife, Kim, chose to raise their five children in Sherwood.
Dr. Aanderud’s hobbies include spending time with his family and friends, golfing, reading, and going to movies. He and Dr. Doyel have also participated in the Hood To Coast relay race for many years with their New Smiles “Molars in Motion” team.
